Grateful Heart.
“God redeemed my life from destruction; He crowned me with loving kindness and tender mercies.” Psalm 103:4
The Bible commentator named Matthew Henry was robbed by a thief one day in his house, and the armed robber took his wallet. Instead of him to cry and call for help, he just knelt down and gave thanks to God. He said this is a great sample of “giving thanks in all circumstances.”
However, he continue his thanksgiving prayer like this “Let me be thankful first because I was never robbed before; second, because although they took my purse, they did not take my life; third, because although they took my all, it was not much; and fourth, because it was I who was robbed, not I who robbed.” (Matthew Henry)
Good or bad, we need to cultivate the habit of thanksgiving to God. I do understand that nobody expects evil to happen.
Nevertheless, we should realize that all things work together for our good. That is why I used Psalm 103 to say I am grateful as follow;
I am grateful for 100 days straight daily devotion with God-knowledge and power.
I am grateful that God forgives all my iniquities
I am grateful that God redeemed my life from destruction
I am grateful that God crowned my life with loving-kindness and tender mercies;
I am grateful that God satisfies my mouth with good things;
I am grateful that God renewed my life like the eagle’s, making me healthy and strong
I am grateful that God executes righteousness and judgment on my behalf
I am grateful that God made known his ways for me
I am grateful that God is merciful and gracious,
I am grateful that God is slow to anger and plenteous in mercy
I am grateful that God will not always rebuke neither keep his anger forever.
I am grateful that God has not dealt with us after my sins
I am grateful that God did not reward me according to my iniquities.
I am grateful that God’s mercy is great towards me
I am grateful that God had removed my transgressions from me.
I am grateful that God helps me to flourish every day
I am grateful that God gives me life to live and live it more abundantly.
I am grateful that God gave me only his son that washed away my sin
I am grateful that God’s mercy is from everlasting to everlasting upon my life, my children, my wife, my loved ones, every member, and every follower of Magnificent life Ministry on social media.
I am thankful for the blood of Jesus.
