He will be with You!

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8

Are you anxious about how today will be? Do you have a presentation, interview, case, or a deal you need to win, and you are worried about how it will go? Think about the Israelites. They have been in slavery for 430 years in the land of Egypt. They have experienced trauma, their soul has been broken, and they have no hope of freedom. But by God’s miracle, they were delivered from the strongholds of Pharaoh, and now, they have hope of raising their families in their homes and the opportunity to worship their God.

But the Promised Land that they were heading to did not look stress-free. The land had occupants already that they were supposed to defeat and overthrow for them to take over. They had strongholds to bring down, and that was definitely going to take time and strength. But God reassured them that He would drive out nations before them. Eventually, He did what he promised and subdued the nations before them.

Genesis 28:15 says, “Look, I am with you, and I will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”

You might be in a similar situation because you have lost something in the past, and it seems that’s what you are hoping for will not be possible. You are starting a new phase of life, and it looks like you do not have what it takes to be an overcomer. God that has been there for the Israelites and made nations and their enemies afraid of them is still alive.

Our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He has never failed, and He will not start now. He has promised in His Word that He will go before you and will be with you. Hold God by His words, and be rest assured. In Joshua 1:5, God said, “There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
