How Great Are Your Works!
What is more pleasing than praising God? The psalmist said it well in Psalm 92:1-8 that:
“It is good to praise the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High, to proclaim Your loving devotion in the morning and Your faithfulness at night with the ten-stringed harp and the melody of the lyre. For You, O LORD, have made me glad by Your deeds; I sing for joy at the works of Your hands.”
“How great are Your works, O LORD, how deep are Your thoughts! A senseless man does not know, and a fool does not understand that though the wicked sprout like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed. But You, O LORD, are exalted forever!”
King David was not a perfect man; he has many flaws in his life and surrounded by enemies but yet he looks at himself and everything God has done for him and sings “how great are your works, O Lord.” No wonder God called him “a man after my own heart” Because he was able to carry out the will of God in its entirety. Acts 13:22. In asking and trusting God, he trusted without a doubt but with faith; he was never lean upon his own or anyone’s strength but in God’s power and direction even when it sounds impossible. Above all, he was also passionate about praise and worship because he loved to be in God’s presence at all times.
Therefore, I don’t know your circumstances or what you have done in this life. But I believed that God had allowed you to see another day to rejoice in His presence and enjoy the gift of being alive to the fullest. God has given you strength and courage so that you can stand and sing for joy amid the storm. Praise and worship are not only a way to show God’s love but facilitates access to God’s heart to help you find peace and contentment. Psalm 100:4 says, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.”
Prayer:
Give thanks to the Lord.
Psalm 96:2 – “Sing to the LORD, praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day.”
