I am Thankful! 3
“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18
I acknowledge God for who He was, what he has done, what He is doing, and what He will do. What about you today? How do you feel? Are you grateful for what God has done, what is doing right now, or what will happen next? If not, then you are missing out on a great opportunity to live life with purpose.
As children of God, we must live a life of thanksgiving, singing praises unto God. Thankfulness is an expression of gratitude or gratefulness. The act of giving thanks to God shouldn’t be occasional but a statement way of life that is continuous according to our Bible passage for today. In a short phrase, the Bible said to acknowledge God in every situation and every circumstance.
Psalm 34:1 says, “I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.”
There are many reasons why we must give thanks to the Lord. However, God is pleased with our gratitude. It’s His divine will, and we rest assured that He accepts our sincere heart of worship. You must learn to count your blessings instead of listing your misfortunes. You should thank the Lord because; He forgives your sins, He heals you from your diseases, He redeems your life, He crowns you with love and compassion, and He satisfies your desire with good things.
Don’t take God’s blessings for granted and count each of His wonderful works. It’s a blessing to see another day in the land of the living which is a sign of hope that God’s goodness is on the horizon to perfect His good works in you. When you are thankful, God sees the awesomeness of His image and makes you feel awesome and blessed.
