Jehovah said, “The wise person should not boast in his wisdom; the strong should not boast in his strength; the wealthy should not boast in his wealth. But the one who boasts should boast in this: that he understands and knows me. I am the Lord, showing faithful love, justice, and righteousness on the earth, for I delight in these things.” (Jer 9:23-24). My friend, I welcome you to a beautiful day! I trust that your day is indeed refreshing, remember, God is with you to bless, guide, and guard you. It is time you began to leverage on divine presence of victorious living by knowing Him more. The Lord will help you to know him better than ever before.
Today, I’ll like to ask you this question: To what extent you are willing to get more intimate with God? How much are you willing to sacrifice to seek God? This is a fundamental question. The bible says, he that comes to God must come believing that He is, and He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (..). If you want to know him better, you must seek him more.
According to Mathew chapter 2 verses 1 to 2, wise men from the East were much eager to see and worship Jesus, the newborn King, who was laid in the manger at Bethlehem. They traveled from the East to Jerusalem (a journey of about 14,785 km) not minding the danger on the way and the harsh weather of the desert. They left all essential matters to catch a glimpse of the savior and present their gifts to Him. What a show of desire, hunger, and thirst to personally meet the Savior of all Mankind!
It is only when we are ready to give up our desires that we can truly experience God’s glory. The truth is, God still rewards those who seek Him diligently, and He also seeks for the true worshipers. When you seek God, you find every other thing that your heart longs to see. Little wonder, Jesus said, seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all other things will be added unto you. You can seek God by prayer, regular study, and consistent meditation on His word (the bible). J.I. Packer said, “We must seek, in studying God, to be led to God.” Through this way, you will know him with the lovely sense that you belong to him, and He belongs to you. Solomon 7:10 says, “I belong to my beloved, and his desire is for me.”
Prayer:
1. Thank God for everything that he has given you. It’s a beautiful feeling to know that God is in control.
2. I decree by the power of the Holy Ghost every power contending with your divine destiny, shall scatter, in the name of Jesus.
3. Lord, I strongly desire, hunger and thirst to personally meet with you and know you MORE INTIMATELY.
