Identity in Christ!

Identity in Christ!

“I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

Have you ever gazed at a beautiful tapestry, woven with delicate threads of gold and color? Just like that masterpiece, your identity in Christ is intricately crafted and uniquely designed. Galatians 2:20 reminds us, “I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.”  In other words, “Christ lives in us — not as a guest, but as the heartbeat of our hope.” Therefore, let us reflect on the richness of our new identity.

Let’s consider Peter, who after denying Jesus, was not cast aside but beautifully restored. In John 21, this moment is a testament to unending grace. Jesus, in His infinite mercy, commissioned Peter anew. Isn’t it beautiful to know that, despite our past, God embraces us with open arms and calls us to fulfill His divine purpose?

Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Remember, “We are heaven’s craftsmanship — grace-signed, Christ-shaped — made to turn love into action.” Each of us has a divine purpose preordained by God. When you replace limiting self-labels with a Christ-centered identity — such as saying “I am forgiven” or “I am called” — you begin to embrace the masterpiece you truly are.

Brethren, you are “Formed by grace, fueled by Christ, you shine best when serving others.” So, let this truth liberate your heart and mind; your past does not define you. With each new day, walk in the grace and love that Christ so generously offers. Amen. Romans 8:1 says, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Amen.

Prayer for the Day!

Lord, I am crucified with Christ; let Your resurrection power fill my life with purpose and identity. Help me to see myself as You see me, reflecting Your love and grace in every step I take. Jesus, let Your resurrection breathe identity into my bones, so I walk as the one You already behold. Teach me to see as You see, until every step reflects Your grace and carries Your love. In Jesus name. Amen.
