I’m Blessed!

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” Ephesians 1:3

Ask me how I’m doing – I’ll tell you I’m blessed, because every sunrise is another chance to smile with no regrets. In other words, life is full of opportunities for gratitude. As Psalm 118:24 says, “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Each new day is a gift, filled with endless possibilities to recognize the blessings around us.

A few years ago, I woke up feeling heavy, burdened by worries about bills, work, and my own sense of self-worth. One morning, I made a conscious decision to shift my mindset. Instead of focusing on what was lacking, I began each day by thanking God for the simplest of joys — a warm cup of tea, the laughter shared with family, and even a fresh haircut. With each moment of gratitude, the weight I carried started to lift. The joy radiated from me, prompting others to ask why I was always smiling. The answer was simple: I had chosen to live with gratitude.

1 Peter 1:3 says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By His great mercy, He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

Reflecting on Ephesians 1:3, we are reminded of the spiritual blessings we have in Christ. Too often, we overlook the profound gifts we’ve been given — peace in our hearts, love in our lives, and hope for the future. It’s easy to get caught up in daily struggles, but when we pause to count our blessings instead of our problems, we invite more positivity into our lives. Remember the story of the widow who gave all she had (Mark 12:41-44)? Her act of faith and gratitude teaches us that it’s not about the size of our blessings, but the heart behind them.

Brethren, I will tell you this: “Yes, I am blessed, because when gratitude is my rhythm and joy is my song, life feels like Sunday every day.” Likewise, I encourage you to embrace this rhythm in your own life! Whether it’s through prayer, journaling, or simply taking a moment to breathe deeply and reflect, make gratitude your daily practice. Let your heart sing with joy as you acknowledge even the smallest gifts that come your way. Amen. Psalm 136:1 says, “Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good. His loving devotion endures forever.”

Prayer for the Day!
Heavenly Father, thank You for the countless blessings You’ve bestowed upon us. Help us to see beyond our worries and focus on the grace that surrounds us each day. May our hearts overflow with gratitude, and may we be living testimonies of Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
