Interceding in Love!
“May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and the perseverance of Christ.” 2 Thessalonians 3:5
Prayer is an important tool for a believer. Without prayers, the spiritual life of a believer becomes less effective and gradually dies. The more you refuse to pray, the weaker you become. On the contrary, we become stronger as we pray more and intercede for others. Prayer is the fuel that powers our spiritual lives; therefore, do not let it run dry.
Paul knows the importance of prayer, so he asked the church to pray for him over his journey and ministerial endeavors. Even though they were strong in the Lord and still never seize to grow in God’s word, Paul and his coworker still need to pray and receive prayer support from other church members to overcome unforeseen challenges.
1 John 5:14-15 says, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests; we also know that he will give us what we ask for.”
However, such prayers and support cannot be rendered if the church is not dwelling and operating in genuine love. If our heart is not rooted in God’s love and perseverance, it could be hard or probably not possible for us to stand and continue when faced with challenges. Therefore, we ask our readers worldwide to pray for the Magnificent Life Ministry (Maglife) as led by the Holy Spirit.
I hope you find our daily devotion helpful and inspiring! However, as you develop the practical and spiritual skills needed to live a life of faith, and every moment-by-moment prayer life, remember our ministry in your prayer today as well. God has blessed us with many wonderful opportunities to serve others through our ministry to the world. Please join us in praying for those who support us. 1 Thessalonians 3:11 says, “Now may our God and Father Himself, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way to you.”
Prayer:
1. Pray as led by the Holy Spirit.
2. May the Lord intercede as you pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
