It is Good to Praise the Lord!
“Hallelujah! How good it is to sing praises to our God, for praise is pleasant and lovely.” Psalm 147:1
Praising God helps us to become productive that reduce frustrations to an unmanageable level. There is exchanged for peace and comfort in our hearts when we praise. Praise and worship are not only for ourselves but for others to know the truth and the goodness of God. This is a wonderful thing to do, especially if you want to showcase God’s faithfulness in your life without having to worry about what other people think or say.
In praising God for His promises that are not yet fulfilled in our lives means we trust Him with all our heart. Praise stands as the confession of faith and confidence in God. Praise is a word that speaks for God’s grace, mercy, love, salvation, and power. It is an effective weapon against the evils spirit and negative thought, especially when you are going through a difficult time. When David was going through a tough time, instead of him complaining, He said, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1
When I praise God, It lightens my heart and makes me feel better and more confident that God is bigger than my problem. It lifts my spirit to the heights of joy and peace. It lifts my soul to see His glory in all things; even when I am down, it takes me to the place where God will make renew me. It brings me back to the place where I can rest my head and relax in His presence. Because I know “The LORD is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation.” Psalm 118:14.
That is why I encourage you to praise him with your whole heart. This is a great way to break the monotony of life. It is also a great way to remind yourself that God loves you and cares more about you than anything else. Because through praise, you will see that God has P- PROTECTED you; R -RESTORED you; A – ACCEPTED for who you are; I – INNOVATE you for something new and better; S – STUNNING work of God and His grace in your life; E – ENTHUSIASTIC for what God will do through you. It is good to praise the Lord because he is the God of all creation. Psalm 135:3 says, “Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; sing praises to His name, for it is lovely.”
