Learning is Knowing! 4
“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.” Psalm 139:14
Learning helps us derive meaning to life, a sense of purpose, or even find peace of mind. When we know, we see beyond all the distractions and problems that we face. We can understand what is attached to our destiny and how to radiate from glory to glory when we know. When we understand what is important to us, we can live a life of joy and fulfillment. Learning gives us an edge to stand out from the crowd. Do you know who you are?
I mean ‘YOU’ and not your friends, spouse, neighbor, or family members. Most people like to study and know other people’s lives, but they failed to know who they are and adjust to their living. They do things as they see others doing it. They were so focused on other people’s lives that they lost the ability to see themselves as God sees them. Are you that kind of person?
1 Peter 2:9 says, “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
If you want to be successful in life, you must know who you are in other to live your life according to the way God wants you to live. You must examine yourself and know your true identity before you can function as the perfect version of God’s image on earth. Our functionality in this world is not based on what people say about us or how we look. It is based on what God has called us to do.
You can’t function in this world without knowing who you are as Christ did and function well in God’s business. Therefore, we need to know ourselves first. When we have a clear understanding of who we are, then everything else will fall into place. Therefore, don’t be a slave to your circumstances. Instead, find your purpose, make it your priority, and never stop pursuing it. Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what the will of God is, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Prayer:
1. Oh Lord, help me to know my purpose in life.
2. Psalm 90:16; Oh Lord, may your purpose be shown to me, and I may discover how to live according to your will in Jesus’ name. Amen.
