Let Go of Nagging Feelings!
“Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:12
As believers, we live every day of life to become a better person. Our mind is to be renewed to meet up with the will of God. Once we accept Jesus, we have been transformed into a new man; our past is no longer a part of us. Not at any point should we feel guilty because of what we have done in the past, or make others feel guilty of their actions.
God is not interested in making anyone feel guilty; He doesn’t operate in that way. The devil is the source of every guilt and accuser, who like to remind you of your past sins. However, the accuser was defeated a long time ago. Revelations 12:10 says, “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.”
When you walk in the consciousness of God’s love through John 3:16, you will be free from the guilt that is pressing you down and hindering your progress. If you genuinely repent of your sins, then don’t allow anyone to make you feel guilty about it. Likewise, your relationship with others should encourage them to move closer to God.
It doesn’t matter how sinful is your friend, as long as they are willing to repent of their sin and live a life of repentance. You should help them to see the best in them; how God can use them rather than how the devil has used them. The words of your mouth and attitude should be free from guilt because Jesus had paid the price for all our misbehavior. He desires that you embrace His saving grace and grow in His word, rather than dwell and be disturbed in what He has paid the price for.
“Jesus bore our sins in His body on the tree so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. “By His stripes, you are healed.” 1 Peter 2:24
Prayer:
1. Father, set me free from all guilty thought that holds me back.
2. Every mouth of the wicked speaking against my destiny, I command you to Shut Up in Jesus’ name.
