Let the Truth be Told!
“You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” John 8:32
According to Matthew West and Andrew Prius’, the songwriter of ‘Let the Truth be Told’ says that “The truth is rarely told, now.” You will hear people say, “I’m fine, yeah I’m fine, oh I’m fine, hey I’m fine…” but yet they are broken inside their heart, but cover everything with lies because they don’t want to admit it. They forgot that sincerity is the best qualification to receive God’s love.
When things are out of control, we claim to say it’s under control when we know it’s not because we’re afraid of what might happen if something goes wrong. We are scared of what people would say or think of us when we open up our hearts or admit that we have a problem or made mistakes. But we never think of God, who wants the truth to be told.
2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”
The only thing that can save humanity from a problem, sin, or any other kind of repetitive mistakes is honesty and love. We should always keep in mind that God has given us the ability to live a life of integrity and trust. That is why He reminded us in Proverbs 12:22 that “Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.”
Lies make us more vulnerable to sin, which opens the door for our enemy’s deception. However, Christ doesn’t want such a spirit to continue in our lives. Instead, He came as the truth and perfect example of how to live a life with integrity and trust. He came to dwell in us in ways that will help us live a life that qualifies us to receive God’s love. In this way, we can be saved from the evil desires of Satan. John 14:6 says, “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Prayer:
1. Father, I pray that you may give me the strength to walk in your footsteps of integrity and trust.
2. John 17:17 — Holy Spirit, sanctify me in the truth, which is the word of God in Jesus’ name. Amen!
