Limited Time!
“Generations come, and generations go, but the earth remains forever.” Ecclesiastes 1:4
All human existence is time tagged. While we are on earth, we are bound to live for a particular period, and after which, we will die. Some generations had gone, and some will still come after ours, according to God’s will. No matter how influential someone can be on earth, death is the end. We have to remember that life is short and it doesn’t mean you should waste it.
All the race of ‘I want to possess the whole earth’ is like chasing after the shadow. Many had tried, but they still have to go and leave all behind. People run after such that leads to covetous of the destruction of their reputation and their family names. Don’t only chase after money, fame, or power while you are still on earth, but make up your mind to impact your generation for good and to the glory of God, which is the best way to live (1 Corinthians 6:20).
There is no other best way to learn how to manage our limited time on earth than by learning about it from Jesus Christ. We all have minimal time to fulfill God’s purpose over our lives, yet our limited time must have an impact. Jesus Christ knew his purpose at age 12, and He ended up fulfilling his mission on earth at age 33, and since then, His good works had always been mentioned up till now. You too can make use of your time wisely if you have the mind of Christ in you that will help you accomplish the purpose of God.
Don’t waste your time on things that are not important, but focus on things that matter. Christ was never after possessing all on earth but to fulfill His purpose. Whatever you do is what will be spoken of you. Mind you, in every generation, there are good examples and also bad examples. It’s your choice. But I encourage you to know Christ and understand your purpose on time. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “To everything, there is a season, A time for every purpose under the heaven.”
Prayer:
1. Father, help me to discover my purpose in you so that I won’t live a wasteful life outside you.
2. Isaiah 8:10; God will scatter and make foolish of every evil counsel taken to waste your time and labor in Jesus’ name.
