Lord, Resurrect My Focus!

“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.” Mark 16:6

Tony Robbins once said, “Where focus goes, energy flows.” In other words, ‘concentration is a seed you water with time. Where you tend, life grows; where you don’t, it goes fallow.’ Just as a gardener must weed out distractions to cultivate vibrant flowers, so too must we nurture our focus on the divine. Jesus’ resurrection symbolizes not just new life, but also the clarity that can blossom when we align our attention with God. In Mark 16:6, the angel proclaimed, “He has risen!” reminding us that with focus on Him, we, too, can rise above the mundane.

When we shift our gaze heavenward, our mindset transforms. Philippians 4:8 encourages us to dwell on what is true and noble, guiding us to filter out noise and distractions. Visualize a magnifying glass directing sunlight to ignite a flame; our thoughts can create a powerful potential when focused on God’s promises. By choosing to set our minds on “things that are above,” we equip ourselves to create a radiant life that mirrors His light.

Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

As we navigate each day, steadiness of mind becomes our anchor. Isaiah 26:3 assures us that peace comes from trusting Him fully, creating a sanctuary of focus amidst the busy world. This unwavering peace acts as a lens that sharpens our vision, allowing us to see both the present and future clearly. By aligning our hearts with His will, we open ourselves to experience joy and purpose in our actions.

Take a moment to reflect on where your focus lies. Are there distractions that cloud your vision? Pray for clarity, asking God to guide you in nurturing a steadfast mind. This self-examination opens the door for His resurrection power, refreshing your spirit, much like morning dew rejuvenates the earth. Amen. Colossians 3:2 says, “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” Amen.

Prayer for the day!

Heavenly Father, thank You for resurrecting my focus. Father, I ask for clarity and focus in my life. Help me to set my mind on You and Your purposes. Remove distractions that pull me away from Your will, and guide me in every decision I make. May I cultivate a heart set on You, allowing Your resurrection power to shine through me. In Jesus name. Amen.
