“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
God has given you unimaginable treasures. Every time you awaken to the rich and beautiful world; I know you can feel the reality of abundance beyond your thinking. Regardless of how strong or weak; wealthy or poor, you evaluate yourselves to be, you cannot deny that God has not given you anything new when you awake daily. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything beautiful, for beauty is God’s handwriting.” I do believe God gave us daily abundant life from the loving heart.
Giving from the heart is the act of love. Love beings are givers and to be a love being, your heart needs to be worked on first. The orientations about several life factors must change and that perceptions towards many other things must be reviewed and renewed. At this juncture, the word of God and the brooding work of the Holy Ghost come to play. Until we love first, we can’t give from the heart, and when we don’t give from the heart, it births two consequences.
Firstly, when we don’t give from the heart either to God or to man, it shows that we don’t love and if we are Christians, that means we are living a life of lies. God doesn’t send rain only on the just but rather on both good and bad. Segregating the kind and group of people we give, is not essential in the act of a loving heart. The first goal God set before us as a believer is that we become as He is and the fulfilled nature of love. We need to take a conscious effort to move into nature, that can manifest with our giving. We shall learn the second reason tomorrow. Stay in love, “and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant sacrificial offering to God.” Ephesians 5:2
Prayer:
1. I give you thanks to your name, oh Lord; and to my father in heaven who gave me life.
2. Lord, as from today, my giving is intentional from my heart. No more compulsive giving, I give freely for your will and purposes on the earth.
3. I pray for you today that God will give you all the things you need to give back to benefit the world around you in Jesus name. Amen.
4. I give wholeheartedly. Oh, lover of my soul, I communicate love, I give love to all around me. My environment is saturated with love.
