Mercy Embrace the Whole, Be Merciful! 2
William Shakespeare said, “Sweet mercy is nobility’s true badge.” You see, mercy is the goodness you extended to others. It is the kind of mercy that makes you forgive people when they hurt you or leave you feeling like a failure. It is the kind of kindness that makes you love people unconditionally, even when they do not talk like you, look like you, or act like you.
Jesus said, “If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Do not even tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even Gentiles do the same?” Matthew 5:46-47.
A Muslim friend of mine always receives our daily devotion to WhatsApp. I know she wasn’t expecting to receive the kind of message from me because I know her religion. But one day, we forward the daily devotional message to her, God touches her heart to read it. Fortunately, a friend of hers was going through some difficult times in her life that need the same message to be delivered from the point of death. She forwarded the message to her friend and saved her.
Till today, my Muslim friend has been forwarding our daily devotional to her friends and family, because Mercy embraces us all and makes us whole again.
Now, I am counting on you too, to share the daily devotion with someone, and show mercy to someone, or even enemies. You don’t know what is going on in their minds at the moment, but you can help somebody by sharing the devotion. God bless you, as you do.
“For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every evil practice. 17But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and sincere.” James 3:16-17.
Prayer:
1. Oh! Lord, I thank you for your love and kindness towards me.
2. I pray, take away every jealousy and selfish ambition in my heart in Jesus’ name.
3. Let your peace and harmony be with me to spread your mercy to others in Jesus
