My Weapon is a Melody!
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16
Melody is the most powerful tool in your arsenal. It’s not just about music, but also about life itself. You can use it to make decisions, to create new things and even change the world around yourself. You can use it to find peace, happiness, and joy. It is an antidote for all the negative emotions that we have been carrying around inside us. It is a way to release the tension and stress that has been holding us back from living our fullest potential.
Melody is one the powerful weapon to frustrate the plan of the enemy and to make their proposal useless. In1 Samuel 4:6-8, when the children of Israelite make a joyful noise, the Philistine said to themselves in verse 8 “Woe to us! Who will deliver us from the hand of these mighty gods? These are the gods who struck the Egyptians with all kinds of plagues in the wilderness.” It is a way to let go of the past and move forward with confidence, hope, and optimism.
It is a way to bring out the best in ourselves and others by using this tool as a weapon against the enemies of our mind and the devices of the enemy of our souls. It is a way to use the power of God’s Word and his love for us to help us overcome our fears in life.
Although the melody might not look like a weapon, it is a powerful tool; your enemy can not imagine. I encourage you to use it. If you are going through a difficult time or feeling like you have lost something, remember that God has given you a melody, a psalm, and hymn of praise. Your tune with a pure heart to God is not more ordinary but a powerful tool to destroy the stronghold of the enemy. 2 Corinthians 10:4 says, “The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the world. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.”
Prayer:
1. Thank you, Lord, for giving me a new song, and count me worthy of your praise and favor.
2. I praise you, Lord.
3. Raise your voice and sing like never before, any favorite gospel song that will lift your spirit.
