Open to God’s New Work in Your Life!

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

God is always doing new things. Unfortunately, we often despair when we look at the world around us. Jobs disappear, wars rage, and natural disasters occur. Yet, even in the face of these seemingly insurmountable challenges, some people find hope in faith as prophet Jeremiah reminded himself in Lamentation 3:21 that all is not lost. In light of this, it is refreshing to have hope that God does new things.

Those who know their God understand that He is never bound by our circumstances, challenges, or way of thinking. Whenever we pray and ask for His help, we can be assured that He will do something new in response, something that we could never have imagined. We may pray for a specific need, and God will answer that prayer in a way that is beyond our expectations.

Isaiah 40:31 says, “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

Always have hope and expect God to do something completely unexpected in response to your prayers, something you could never have thought of on your own. Remember, He constantly surprises us with new ways of reaching out to people and bringing them to Himself. He never stops working in our world, bringing about change and making a difference in people’s lives.

I don’t know what you are going through, and I don’t know what you expect God to do for you: but I will trust God with you that He will do a new thing for your life, family, ministry, and the world around you. He is always moving and always at work, doing things that we could never have imagined. So let us be open to His surprises and pray for His help in seeing things in a new way. Amen. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

1. Oh Lord, thank you for the new way and life you have given me through your son Jesus.
2. Holy Spirit, come and do something new in my life that will awe my generation in Jesus’ name. Amen.
