Patience Leads to Success!
“It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” Lamentations 3:26
Patience with hope is the key to the household of faith and harvest of wealth for those who don’t give up in their pursuit of God’s will. People with an attitude of patients understand that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Though it’s not always easy to get through such a phase of exhausting hours, it is worth trying. It’s okay to feel discouraged sometimes. It is okay to have doubts about your abilities or even your faith. However, that should not stop you from pursuing your dreams.
One of the keys to success is patience. Success is a combination of many failed efforts. In order words, failure is part of the steps you have to place your legs on before you get to success. But, then, the successful man never gives up when he steps on failure or faces any Herculean challenge. Even if he gave up in the end, he made sure that he fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept his faith. So, before you quit, give it a try; you will be surprised how much you can achieve.
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
I remember a couple who got married and couldn’t have a baby for years. After two years of unfruitful marriage, the woman visited her doctor for a checkup, and after divers of tests and observations, the doctor confirmed that she could not carry a baby. That stunned and left her helpless. She got home and disclosed the information to her husband, but this man was a man of faith. He was so deliberate not to give up on his marriage, according to what the doctor says. At times, he would make statements like, “my babies would look so much like me when they come….”
He kept on praying even when he didn’t see any result quickly; everything within and about him was never given up. Some of our dreams couldn’t play out in real life because we got tired of chasing them. When God showed us the dream, He never said it would come easily like it was in the dream, but the reality of that dream is sure. It only depends on our tenacious move towards the dream.
After twenty years of their unproductive marriage, the woman got pregnant miraculously and gave birth to twins. That was possible because they never gave up. They persisted until their dream became a reality. If there is a dream you’ve got, please fuel it and never give up. The reality is near. Psalm 34:10 says, “Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the LORD will lack no good thing.”
Prayer:
1. I thank you, Jesus, for the good plans you have for me.
2. Oh! Lord, give me the grace to run this race to the end in Jesus’ name.
