Pay Attention to Your Ways!

“Now this is what the LORD Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways” Haggai 1:5.

Are you experiencing a better yesterday than today? Are your previous years’ experiences and exploits surpassing this year’s achievements? Then, God is telling you to consider your ways. When you consider your ways, you will discover the reason behind that problem and the con of life that leads to unhappiness. Likewise, when you consider your ways carefully, you will discover the secret of blessedness that leads to happiness.

When in great need or deep crises, humans move closer to God for assistance. They tarry in the place of prayers and engage in various types of fasting, seeking the face of God, but when they have gotten what they acquired – every form of spiritual will come to cease. Such people will stop having time for God’s work and weekly meetings because the doors opened in their lives. Seeking God has become a burden to these, and they no longer consider or pay attention to the dealings of God. But now, God is telling you to pay attention to your ways and make appropriate amendments.

Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what the will of God is, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Are you still committed to the words you told Him during the time you were nothing? Are you still walking daily in seeking Him? Most times, we forget that God is the giver of all things. He can decide to take what He has given us and give unto someone else because we have forgotten Him. We choose to focus on the thing He gave us instead of Him. That’s why some people have planted much but reaped so little! Yet, they blame it on economic crises or any other fetish reason. Though economic has its impact, it’s not a good one to choose as the reason.

Therefore, it is high time you pay careful attention to your relationship and fellowship with the Heavenly Father. It is time to draw near the throne of grace in harmony with God and His purposes. Remember, God is a reward of those that diligently seek Him – He never fails on His promises. If you are so much faithful and committed to serving Him with the little thing He has entrusted to your care, and He is willing to give you more if you’re consistent and persistent in your relationship with Him. 1 Peter 5:6 says, “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, so that in due time He may exalt you.”

Father, in every way, I have acted wrongly in my promise to you, Lord please forgive me
Lord, help me to be committed in my fellowship with you in Jesus name. Amen
