“Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24
Whenever I gather people to pray or in the midst of people in a prayer gathering, I’m always bothered about people who give little attention to prayer in such an atmosphere. Our nonchalant attitude towards prayer shows that we lack faith and do not believe God truly answers prayer. The God we serve is a living God; He can answer our prayers, not just hear them. And every time we raise our voice, either in praises or prayers, God hears and attends to our offer.
The Bible is full of testimonies of people who prayed and received quick answers from God. A prominent example is a man called Elijah; Elijah prayed passionately that rain should not fall, and rain seized for three years and six months. Some believers do not see prayer as their responsibility; they believe in their pastors as special beings capable of speaking to God on their behalf. Of course, all pastors must be honored, but God has given us equal access to Him.
James 5:17 says, “Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.”
Elijah was a man who lived thousands of years ago, and yet his life still inspires us today. He was just like us, with flesh and blood, weaknesses and strengths. But what set him apart was his faith in God, which enabled him to perform miraculous acts like praying fire down from heaven. This is a powerful reminder that prayer works. If Elijah could pray for such an incredible display of God’s power, then we too can have confidence in the effectiveness of our prayers.
Every child is privileged to receive from the Father as much as they believe and strongly believe in Him. We may not be able to call down fire from heaven, but we can certainly ask God to do great things in our lives and those around us. The key is to remember that prayer is not about our abilities or eloquence but about trusting God’s goodness and power. Amen. Ephesians 6:18 says, “Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.” Amen.
Prayer:
Father, thank you for your name of Jesus that is above every other name you have given us; help me trust you more and pray your will. Amen.
God of every living thing bless this ministry in both spiritual and earthly blessings !! It is such a great ministry blessed by the Almighty God.
