Putting Away Lying!

Putting Away Lying!

“Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.” Ephesians 4:25

The first characteristic or the evidence of the new birth is putting away sins (lying, corrupt communication, deceiving others to cheat them, unnecessary anger, and many more. Once you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, these little sins that you overlook should not be found in you. Because you have been crucified with Christ, and you are now living a new life (2 Corinthians 5:17).

The new life you have accepted, you cannot continue in sin because you have been born into the family of God. 1 john 5:18 says, “We know that God’s children do not practice sin, for God’s Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot touch them.” However, when you allow sin in your life, it means you will enable the devil to take control over you because your shield in Christ will be broken.

Sin is an open-source of bitterness, poverty, fear, and confusion that steal your joy and peace because it breaks your relationship with Christ. It is like a thief stealing from a treasure of your heart. When you let go of this sin, you will enjoy the abundant life of Jesus Christ.

In Psalm 66:18, David said, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” Means, if you keep yourself away from sins, you will enjoy the presence of God, and you will never fall into a ditch, nor will you mourn because you are still covered under his shadow (Psalm 91:1-4).

PRAYER:
1. Father, thank you for ignoring your son on the cross of Calvary to wash away my sins
2. Lord Jesus, I pray that your blood that washed on the cross for me won’t be in vain in Jesus name
3. Holy Spirit helps me to be conscious of the lifestyle I am living in Jesus’ name. AMEN!
