Reliable Servant!

“Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him and did let none of his words fall to the ground.” 1 Samuel 3:19

Reliability in life is the quality of being faithful or trustworthy. God is always ready to fellowship and communicate with us when He sees that faithfulness in us. However, the nature and amount of what God will say are dependent on the individual’s loyalty and reliability. God will never tell you more things if you’ve never been keeping His words in the past.

Samuel was found faithful in the presence of God, and God relied on Him. He grew with a heart of service in the house of Eli, though he was a little child he was so sensitive to and matures in the spirit that God could still share more profound things with him. It is so disheartening how Eli couldn’t receive this good symbol till the end. His sons were doing things that are against the will of God, and Eli couldn’t stop them, so God shifted is reliability from Eli to Samuel, and He began to send His words to him.

Samuel became a faithful and reliable servant of God, God honored him, including his words, and even everyone who knows identifies him as an honest servant of God. The challenge with this is, can God rely on you? Or can people trust you? It is impossible to get the best from God or people if you are not faithful and trustworthy. Serve God faithfully, be a reliable servant, and God will never fail you.

“A king delights in a wise servant, but his anger falls on the shameful.” Proverbs 14:35

Prayer:
1. Thank you, Lord, for your steadfast love and faithfulness to me.
2. Lord, help me to be found faithful to you and the people around me.
