Reward for Diligence!

Reward for Diligence!

“Lazy people don’t even cook the game they catch, but the diligent make use of everything they find.” Proverbs 12:27

Our success in career, business, and life in totality require some talent, intelligence, and wisdom, but it is impossible to achieve anything worthwhile without hard work and persistence. People who are tagged diligent have set goals they are pursuing, and they exert much effort to reach them. They detest laziness and give no room for idleness and complacency.

People with diligent minds take up responsibilities and follow through with conscientiousness whatever duty they perform; therefore, they are reliable. You must exhibit diligence at your workplace or wherever God has placed you. God expects nothing less because we are called to be imitators of Him. You don’t just succeed overnight; it is a result of your accumulated efforts. Overnight success is not guaranteed, and if it does, your efforts to keep it moving must be consistent for the long haul.

Proverbs 4:23 says, “Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.”

In fact, it is impossible to achieve success without constant effort and dedication. Successful leaders and personalities that we look up to diligently work their way to the top. Though they might have faced countless opposition, challenges, and trials as they moved up the ladder, they persevere. Diligence inevitably brings outstanding rewards. It is diligence that brings promotion and prosperity. Diligence transforms dreams into reality and makes every impossibility possible.

God admonishes us to be diligent in every way; the way we handle our work and business, how we raise our family or fulfilling our calling, and in walking with Him. We must also be spiritually and physically diligent. God’s promises to the diligent are that “He will reward him” (Deut. 28:1). Our reward for diligence could be in profits, abundance, leadership, affluence, fulfillment, authority, ever-increasing success, and a prosperous soul. Be diligent in every area, even as you are waiting for the Lord to come. 2 Peter 3:14 says, “beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.”
