Rule Your Thoughts!
There is nothing magical about the bible we read and memorized if we didn’t know how to apply it. However, if we learn it to live a life of faith, and know God, then the word will become spirit and life in us. When you know God’s word, the fear of this world ceases to exist in your heart. You can be confident in God because he knows what is best for you.
There was this story about Elisha in 2 KINGS 6: 8-23. The man of God was asleep when an angry King of Syria sent warriors, horses, and chariots by night to surround the city in other to capture Elisha. However, when morning came, Elisha’s servant looked through the window, and he was terrified by the angry soldiers.
The servant said to Elisha, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” Elisha said, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then he prayed to God, saying, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
I don’t know the surrounding circumstances that make you overwhelmed with fear and trembling. But I am here to tell you this: If God is with you, what else can be against you? As 2019 is coming close to ends, do not let your fears stop you from praying and going forward. What God has for you is greater than anything you have ever experienced before. 2 Corinthians 2:9 says, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him.”
Prayer:
1. Thank you, Lord, who has given me the strength to face my fears.
2. In the name of Jesus, I command the angel of my salvation to come and save me from all these things that are holding me back.
I shall overcome my fear in Jesus’ name.
