Running with a Vision!
“Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.” Habakkuk 2:2
Vision is an ideal or a goal toward which one aspires. To become successful in life, it is inevitable that we must have a vision we intend to run with. A life without vision will ultimately end up becoming nothing and thus become frustrated. Though much effort might have been invested, there won’t be results that will be appreciable of the time and energy invested. The only thing that matters is how you see things.
You must run with a vision, a target in life. And, this begins with praying and waiting on God. You must inquire of God what He wants for you. He created you and holds your destiny; He knows what best fits you. People who follow after their worldly passion might end up being rich but had never for once shown on God’s radar, talk less of fulfilling their destiny. When praying unto God for His leading, you must exercise patience. Don’t rush out of God’s presence, be determined and purpose-driven.
Habakkuk 2:3 says, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it will speak, and it will not lie. Therefore, though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
During the period of waiting on God, you must be ready to listen when He speaks; take your time to write everything He tells you. Be prepared to answer when He calls and when He needs that you respond to certain issues. Some requirements must be met for you to run with a vision. First, you must get an answer from God; this assures you that your vision has divine support, which gets you going during challenges or difficult situations.
After you might have gotten an answer, then you are required to proceed to plan; your planning must be well-detailed and understandable with clarity of purpose. Moreso, running with a vision requires that you implement those plans you have made, thereby moving forward to fulfilling destiny. Remember, vision cannot be achieved without action. Therefore, I pray, “May God grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans (psalm 20:4)” in Jesus’ name. Amen!
Prayer
1. Lord Jesus, I refuse to live a life without purpose in Jesus’ name.’
2. From now henceforth, I subject my vision into God’s will, and I receive the grace to wait on you in Jesus’ name.
