Sekhel, A Sense of Excellence! Part Three
“Oh Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you; I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful, and sure.” Isaiah 25:1
There is a Sense of Excellence when we give praise to God. There is something so beautiful and intangible about praising God. It breathes life into our beings and fills us with a sense of excellence. When we take the time to acknowledge all that God has done for us publicly, it is like a refreshing rain on a hot day. It invigorates us and reminds us of why we are here.
Praising God is a chance for us to step back and take in the big picture. It is an opportunity to reflect on all of the wonderful things He has done for us – both big and small. In those moments, we can see His handprint all around us. Psalm 34:1-3 says, “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips. My soul will glory in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together.” Praising God is like a breath of fresh air; it’s refreshing and makes you feel alive.
1 Peter 1:3 says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
When we take the time to praise God, we are joining with others in celebrating His greatness. We are declaring that we believe in Him and that we are thankful for all He has done for us. It is a way of proclaiming His goodness to the world. Praising God is also a way of drawing near to Him. It is a way of communing with Him and opening our hearts to His love. When we take the time to thank Him for all He has done, we are opening the door for Him to do even more in our lives.
So, what are you waiting for? Pick up your praise attitude and declare the greatness of God today! The words of Isaiah 25:1 are a declaration of praise to God. The psalmist proclaims that God is his God, and he will exalt Him for all that He has done. He will also praise Him for His faithfulness and sure plans. This passage encourages us to Praise the Lord always, for He is worthy of our praise! His lovingkindness is amazing, and we should rejoice in Him always! Psalm 69:30 says, “I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify him with thanksgiving.”
Prayer:
I thank you, Lord, for your steadfast love and mercy over my household, career, business, ministry, and other matters in Jesus’ name. Amen.
