Selfie Loving Action!
“And the second is like, namely this, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:31
Selfie is not all about taking self a picture and posting it on social media. It is also about showing yourself that you appreciate who you are in Christ through your actions. Loving yourself means accepting the fact that you have flawed and imperfect. It is a crucial way to live a healthy, consistent, orderly, and pleasing life. It is a way to fulfill God’s greatest commandment that says ‘love your neighbor as thyself. If you do not love yourself, then your love for others is para facial and unloving.
Winners love themselves no matter what that circumstance may be. Look in a mirror, and tell God, ‘I love the I am that I am.’ Love your neighbor as yourself. This starting point or sentence’s emphasis is not your neighbor but yourself because what you have is what you give. To love yourself means you do not let any bitterness rooted in your heart or feel ungrateful. The decision to love yourself is in your hand, and it is the will of God for you as well. I encourage you to be true, kind, honest and appreciate yourself because you are special in God’s heart.
1 Peter 2:9 says, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s possession, to proclaim the virtues of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
Lucille Ball said, “love yourself first, and everything else falls into line. You have to love yourself to get things done in this world.” Loving yourself is a bedrock of personal growth, a light that turns dreams into reality, a gas that fuels happy relationships with others, and a foundation that keeps you healthy. So, if you did not love yourself, start now. In the next few months, you will see how life will be better than before. You will see how your health, relationships, business, ministry, and friendship will improve.
Loving yourself is not to embrace self-indulgence that creates the fulfilling the desires of the flesh and the mind or to admire sinful nature, such as selfishness that is contrary to the will of God, but to give glory and honor to our heavenly Father. Love yourself to appreciate God’s faithfulness and Grace in your life. As you continue in your life journey, forgive ‘yourself’ for your past mistake and take back ‘yourself; Keep believing in ‘yourself’ as you repackage, move forward, and seek to know the truth. “Christ Jesus said, “Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” John 8:32
