Set Time!
“You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favor her, Yes, the set time, has come.” Psalm 102:13
There is always a different result when things are timely done. There is something about the time; it is a means of measure for when different things happen. God lives in eternity, but He placed humanity to live in time. I would skip talking about ‘time’ to talk about the ‘set time.’
There are particular moments God steps fully into a situation; it’s a period when things take a new turn. Psalm 102 verse 13 calls it ‘the time to favor,’ that is, the set time. Many people are going through different trials and tribulations, they’ve so much tarried in the problem, and they think there is no hope for them again, but when God steps in, every negative situation will receive a good turnaround.
Psalm 104:19 says, “God made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows it’s time for setting.”
There is a case of the woman with the flow of blood, she has been bleeding for forty years, but when her set time came, she received her healing. God’s time is not human’s time. Human beings want an instant miracle, sudden wealth, even instant food and the likes, but God knows the best time to give us anything we need.
Another point is that God will not give us what we are not ready for. He knows the right time, and He is never late. Ecclesiastes 3:1, “To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven” No matter how long we might have waited on the Lord, the set time will always come, and when the set time comes, it puts an end to longtime suffering for the bible says weeping may tarry for a night but Joy cometh in d morning. Psalm 105:19 says, “Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the LORD tested Joseph’s character.”
Prayer:
1. Lord, align me not to miss your set time.
2. Psalm 31:14-15 “I trust in you, O Lord; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in your hand; rescue me from the hand of my enemies and my persecutors!” in Jesus’ name.
