Speak Life Over Your Life! 3

“He who guards his mouth protects his life, but the one who opens his lips invites his own ruin.” Proverbs 13:3

In the United States of America, when law enforcement arrested a criminal suspect for interrogation, they will inform the suspect about the Miranda warning before the examination. And that warning goes like this;

“You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court. You have the right to talk to a lawyer for advice before we ask you any questions. You have the right to have a lawyer with you during questioning. If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be appointed for you before any questioning if you wish. If you decide to answer questions now without a lawyer present, you have the right to stop answering at any time.” Wikipedia.

The Miranda warning protects people from making a fool of themselves when they try to defend their case. Likewise, the Holy Spirit is telling you today, that ‘It is better to be silent than to speak’ a negative word when you are in a tough situation. You have the right to call on Jesus Christ, your advocate for advice before the devil starts questioning or accusing you of wrongdoing.

You have the right to tell the Holy Spirit to take control of your decision-making process instead of downgrading or giving up. If you are too weak to pray, ask God to direct you to faithful elders in your local church that can speak the gracious word of God during the difficult times. And if you cannot do any of these things, then you have the right to stop speaking negative words that can set you up for failure in life.

David said, “I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.” Psalm 39:1

Prayer:
1. I decree in the name of Jesus that every spiritual force influencing your thoughts to do negative things and setting you up for failure shall perish by fire and thunder.
2. I ask you to pray for the peace of your community, and the good of all nations.
3. Pray against coronavirus, plead the blood of Jesus now.
