Standing Out in a Sea of Conformity!

“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness usness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?” 2 Corinthians 6:14

In a world where it seems like everyone is trying to be the same, it can be difficult to find ways to stand out and be unique. For many people, this means following the latest trends and wearing the hottest clothes. But there are other options for those who want to express their individuality more subtly. One of the simplest and most effective ways to stand out from the crowd is simply being yourself. Of course, it takes time, dedication, discipline, and effort to change yourself, but your lives will be much more pleasurable when you do these.

Your DNA, eye color, or personality won’t be like someone else’s. You will have a unique perspective on life because you were not a carbon copy of anyone else but God’s image. You will continue to play copycat to follow the crowd, but you will not enjoy being that way. Likewise, you can’t continue to support the dream of the world and reflect the image of God. You cannot continue to trade God’s will for something familiar. The devil intends to squander the future when he tricks people into exchanging their vision for their purposes. Remember, time wasters are destiny wastes.

Romans 12:2 says, ” do not conform to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

We shouldn’t conform to the standards of others but rather live our own life as God wants us to live. “And to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” Ephesians 4:24. Remember that who you are is what God called you to be; distinguish yourself from others by accepting the importance of God’s purpose for yourself. Therefore, clearly tell the devil, “Get thee behind me, Satan.” And prepare yourself to stand up for whatever deserves your label in the kingdom of heaven. Do not lower yourself by speaking ill of others.

When everyone is following the same path, be the one to blaze your trail. Therefore, I encourage you to see the contrast between your new life in Christ and your desire to sin: be different to expand your horizons morally and virtuously and pursue a righteous and walk with God’s Will. Live according to His word and ways; walk according to God’s divinely preexisting right pure and merciful plans. So Ephesians 4:24 said, “putting on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Prayer:
1. Thank God for the gift of life! God is awesome. God is good, and his mercy endures forever.
2. Pray earnestly about what you have learned and ask God to guide you so that you can fulfill his will.
3. Decree that the mess of your past will not imprison you from moving into your greater tomorrow!
