Stop the Jungle Justice.
“They said to him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery.” John 8:4-5.
Jungle justice is prevalent everywhere, from the Mafias to the Mob; from the president to common man, people shift blame in the way to favor them. I have seen where life has been destroyed because people applied “Jungle Justice” and failed to understand the details of the matter.
“We live in a world where finding fault in others seems to be the favorite blood sport. It has long been the basis of political campaign strategy. It is the theme of much television programming across the world. It sells newspapers. Whenever we meet anyone, our first, almost unconscious reaction may be to look for imperfections.” Henry B. Eyring.
Daily as we rise, we are confronted with new challenges and situations caused by our actions and inactions and that of others. One of the things that human finds comfortable doing in such times is that they find themselves displaying their analytical prowess. They look for why the incident occurred, who is or are closely associated with the incident and the view every possible angle to which the situations may lead. This is all in the bit to know who can take the fall for the incident.
Many times, the real test of manhood is taking responsibility for every action that occurs, but like Adam, we want to find an Eve to shift the blame towards and be free of any indictment, even when we are in the wrong. Before you put the burden for the wrong action on someone else; before you take the other party for granted; before using your position of advantage for the downfall of others for the selfish reason’s sake. Kindly remember what Jesus said, “if you have not made a mistake before or sinned before, be the first to throw the stone” John 8:7 (paraphrased).
Stop taking the judicial role in every little matter; it is a waste of time. Do not smash up another person’s credibility, instead work to bring more peace into the community, your workplace, your family, the church. Be known by all as a restorer of peace, the builder of bridges among men keeps meeting the needs that are within your capacity and be assured of a glorious harvest. Remember, Romans 2:1 says, “You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on another. For on whatever grounds you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.”
Prayer:
1. I have the mind of Christ in all situations; I refuse to throw stones at others at their mistake.
2. Every strong man assigned against my destiny, what are you waiting for? Die in Jesus name!.
3. My Father, my Father, remove by force every faultfinding veil covering my eyes in Jesus name.
4. Help me Lord to see the Good about others and Let others see good about me in Jesus name.
