Take Heed!

“However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows. Therefore, be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come.” Mark 13:32-33

We have faced and experienced a lot of unforeseen eventualities. Occurrences that we never expected or bid for, but we just end up encountering them. Facing such issues is really not the challenge, but how prepared or unprepared they meet us. So, the result we get out of an impromptu test is determined by how much we’ve prepared before it.

What happens to us in school when the teacher or professor asks an unexpected question is like the return of the Lord. Jesus will return at a time we never expected. At a certain time, Jesus likened the evidence of His return with the fig leaves that falls from the fig tree. Some other parables and signs were told to show us the sign of His return. Evidently, some of these things had been seen around the world, and this implies or stands as proof for the imminent coming of our Lord Jesus.

The coming of our Lord Jesus is inevitable. It is not some delusion of mere sayings. We have to be prepared and guard ourselves for Him. Another proof to this is in the earlier verse, “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away (vs. 31)”. His word declares that He will return, we believe this because His word founded the world, and if the same word says the world will pass away, it is worth considering.

So, we must abide in Christ who can give life in this world and in the world to come. Let us do away with all unrighteousness, immorality, unbelief, and inconsistency in God. Be guarded, equipped, and be ready for the Lord’s returns. Matthew 25:13 says, “Watch, therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.”

Prayer:
1. Father, I give my life to you, help me to wait on you till the end.
2. Lord Jesus, I don’t want to be out of your kingdom, give me the grace to abide in you will.
3. I pray that you will not miss the opportunity when the rapture comes in Jesus’ name.
