The Attitude of Gratitude!

“I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalms 34:1

Attitude can be described as one’s disposition and reaction to every impulse of life, time, and all other factors of life. What has been your attitude? What has been your disposition? What has been your reaction to issues of life? Gratitude is a state of mind that we must consciously cultivate and practice.

Life is indeed full of challenges and opportunities; with that in mind, means is not always rosy for everyone. However, the fantastic thing is that the heirs of the Lord’s kingdom have been offered a way out of the heat, pressure, hardness, and difficulty of life. Because gratitude is the key that unlocks the doors of opportunity and happiness, it is a powerful tool that will help you find your inner peace and joy.

Gratitude should be an attitude for every Christian and children of God because there is hope for us in Christ Jesus. An attitude of gratitude should be our disposition and lifestyle. A writer once wrote, “You don’t thank God only for what he has done, but you thank Him for the greater things He is going to do for you shortly.”

The Psalmist, a man with the understanding of God’s faithfulness, integrity, and track record of being a very present help in times of troubles, offers to bless the Lord at all times. What an amazing testimony and commitment. David saw rejection from childhood, faced death while growing up and battle when he became king. Yet he made this commitment. Make this a commitment to give thanks in everything. Surely the Lord will be good for you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, “Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Prayer:
1. Lord, I am grateful. I receive grace for gratitude in everything and at all times.
2. We worship you, Lord, for blessing us with another day of life.
