The Door of 2023 Has Opened: What Next?

“I love them that love me, and those that seek me early shall find me.” Proverbs 8:17

Seeking God first is the key to living in harmony; start each day with Him, and you will never be without peace. Though the beginning of a new year is often seen as opening the door to the future. 2023 is no exception, and it brings its unique set of challenges and opportunities. As our world continues to move forward, we should always find ways to navigate the Changes of 2023 and hope, knowing that every year carries its opportunities, blessings, and possibilities for growth.

Now that the door of 2023 has opened before us, what can we do to take advantage of all that comes our way? 2022 has come and gone, but we can learn from our mistakes and strengthen ourselves mentally and physically – preparing ourselves for whatever awaits us in 2023. We must also remember to fortify our relationships with God and those around us – family or friends – so we can lean on them when life gets too overwhelming. Remember, strong relationships are built on trust, understanding, and mutual respect; therefore, fortify those foundations to ensure a lasting bond.

Proverbs 13:20 says, “Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.”

As the 2023 journey continues, strong relationships are a fortress that can withstand any storm. In life’s journey, there is no greater relationship than the one with God. This relationship provides strength and fortitude to fight against challenges and temptations in our daily lives. Through prayer, meditation, and study of the scripture, we can grow closer in our relationship with God and gain strength to face anything that comes our way. According to Proverbs 3:6, “In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” We must seek God first, for He will provide for us what we need in the present and the future (Matthew 6:33).

An intimate relationship with God provides us with an unshakeable fortress when storms come our way; no matter our situation or circumstance, His unconditional love never fails us. It gives us power over every negative emotion, such as fear and doubt, so that we can be empowered by His spirit of courage and joy regardless of how difficult things may seem on the outside. Remember, developing this relationship requires persistent effort and work on our side in order for His presence to become real to us, leading us closer to His love and helping us fulfill our destiny. Amen. Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”

1. Oh Lord, help me to know you more this year, 2023, and beyond.
2. I pray that you will continue to guide me through my journey of faith and trust in you.
