The Essence of that Life to Us!
“For whoever finds me gets life and obtains favor from the LORD.” Proverbs 8:35
The life of Christ is the essence of Christianity. For Christians, Jesus is the embodiment of God’s love and grace. His life provides us with a roadmap for living a fulfilling life. Jesus taught about the need to forgive others, put others before ourselves, and have faith in God. He showed us that it is possible to live a life that is filled with compassion and love. By following Jesus’ teachings, we can experience true happiness and peace. Because through Him, grace comes into existence, which has won us favor from God.
The ungodliness may look for excuses to deny the truth about Christ’s wisdom and the grace he brought us. However, I will like you to remind them that humankind is dead until they discovered Christ who called and converted them by His grace so that they could live a life of justification and sanctification. They found life in a trusting relationship with Christ, and by communion with Him; they find joy and fulfillment; they are living a life of meaning and purpose; they receive spiritual food for their daily lives.
Romans 5:1-2 says, “Therefore since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.”
Life in Christ is a blessing. Those who have it become the light of the world; they are more than ordinary, and the world bends down to hear their voice. The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. That is why John 3:36 says, “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.” In other words, those who believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior receive eternal life as a gift. On the other hand, those who reject Him will not receive this gift.
Brethren, believing in Jesus Christ is a tremendous blessing because it brings us closer to God and opens the door to eternal life. The life that Jesus offers endows one with virtue, is a source of strength and influence in human society, and deepens one’s comprehension of God’s intrinsic essence in humankind. How great would it have been if all of us could embrace that life and live it to the fullest? Because the life of Christ is the very essence of love, and through Him, we can know the depths of love that are possible. In John 15:5, Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing.”
Prayer
1. Lord Jesus Christ, I believe you died on the cross for my sins and came to reconcile me with the Father; therefore, I welcome the new life. Amen.
2. I make a vow to receive everything that Jesus’ life has to offer in the name of Jesus. Amen.
