The Essence of that Life to Us! Part Two
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to God’s great compassion, he has delivered us back to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” 1 Peter 1:3
The essence of life is to find your purpose and live it. However, many people find their purpose in the wrong places. They don’t know their true calling or how to get there. But there is someone who brought us life, and following him will give us a purpose. That Divine person is our Lord Jesus Christ, whose life is full of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness. It is the life that we are all called to live. This life is a gift from God. In John 6:38, Jesus said, “For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.”
When we accept Jesus into our hearts, we are given the power to live this Christ-life. This life is not always easy; it can be quite challenging at times. But it is worth it! The Christ-life is full of purpose and meaning, bringing great happiness and fulfillment. It is a life of service and sacrifice, but it is also a life of joy and abundance. If you want to know what the Christ-life looks like, just take a look at Jesus Himself. He was the ultimate example of living this life to the fullest. He healed the sick, fed the hungry, and preached love and forgiveness. Likewise, he showed us that it’s more important to do good deeds than worry about our problems.
Isaiah 1:17 says, “Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.”
The purpose of life is to be like Jesus. Living the Christ-life is about following Jesus’ example and doing good deeds. We should live according to his example, and doing good deeds makes us experience true happiness and peace. We must follow him in truth if we claim to believe Him in every aspect of our lives. And if you have not accepted Him yet, I want you to remember that life without Christ is like a cold winter night; it’s dark, dreary, and lifeless. It is like a night without stars. Because He who has God has everything, and he who does not have God lacks everything.
Brethren, If you believed and have risen with Christ, you should seek to put your focus on things that are from above, as Colossians 3:1 instructed us. Christ is seated in heaven, and we should be looking to Him as our model and examples. We should be seeking heavenly things rather than earthly things. Jesus is more than just a figure in history. He is the essence and purpose of life itself. Therefore, everything we do should be an act of worship to Him. We should also focus on living our lives in a way that reflects His teachings. This includes being kind and compassionate to others and reaching out to those in need. In John 14:15, Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my commandments.”
Prayer:
1. Dear Lord, I pray for your mercy and help break every yoke of unfaithfulness to your word and your will in Jesus’ name.
2. Agent of unfruitfulness manifesting around my life and God’s will be destroyed in Jesus’ name. Amen.
