The Genuine Mind!
“Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32
A true and genuine mind is not a self-centered or selfish person but rather a compassionate and loving person towards others. Such people go beyond the mere act of being kind to one another. In fact, they are very much like Jesus, whom you don’t have to force to be kind or lay down his life without looking at your race or ethnicity.
No love can be greater than laying a life for the sin of someone who perhaps doesn’t even care about you. This is the mind of love in Jesus Christ that made Him give His life for the sins of man. The bible says while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). Our Lord Jesus Christ has a unique mind of love towards all, whether you are a believer or unbeliever. His passion is without discrimination and selfishness.
1 John 4:7 “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.”
As Christians, we should have this kind of mind as Christ has; we should be ready to love everyone around unconditionally irrespective of race, religion, and languages. God commanded us to love Him with all our hearts and also love our neighbors the way we will love ourselves. We should not love others because of their skin color or gender. Love is not based on physical attraction, but rather it described our personality as being in accordance with God’s Word.
We cannot claim to have the mind of Christ if we don’t love from a pure heart; the mind of Christ is a mind of love. The mind of Christ is a true soul that loves unconditionally. We must love unconditionally without pretension because this is what God wants us to be. Don’t say I love God, but hates your brother or sister, then you can’t prove it? 1John 4:20 says, “Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.”
Prayer:
1. I love you, my Abba, my Father! Help me to know that you love me.
2. Father Lord, please let your love fill my heart in the name of Jesus
3. Father Lord, please give me the grace to love everyone in the name of Jesus.
