The Hindrance Question! 2
Jesus replied, “Why do you say ‘if you can’? All things are possible for those who believe!” Mark 9:23
A father brought his boy with an evil spirit to Jesus. While the man begins to narrate the story of ‘how far, ‘how long’ and ‘how turf’ the boy situation was, he ends up asked Jesus a Hindrance Question in which he said, “But if You can do anything…” Jesus was so shocked and questioned him as well saying, “Why do you say ‘if you can’?”
Likewise, in this season that the world is going through the pandemic of Coronavirus, Crashing of the market economy, social distance from friends, family, and even strangers. Many Christians are questioning themselves about the possibilities of surviving the pandemic as they go through these difficult times. They were asking Jesus, “if you can…” instead of telling Jesus with boldness, “I know you will.”
Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us, therefore, come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Since you gave your life to Christ, your life is not in your hand but God’s hand as clay in the potter’s hand. Though, you must take necessary precautions to avoid any kind of harm or danger, temptation or pride, ignorance or foolishness, that will make you violate the standard of living in this world. If you pray, believed, and take the right action that will stop the spread of the germs or virus around you, then relaxed in faith and trust in God, that you will be saved.
No sickness or death will take place in our home in all these Coronavirus pandemic things because we are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us. Romans 8:37.
Don’t allow the devil to steal your joy because he is a thief. It is not worth it to lose your joy when you have Jesus Christ in you. If that hindrance question crosses your mind again, asking you, “if you think you can make it.” I want you to reply with this song by songwriter Kirk Franklin saying:
I know that I can make it
I know that I can stand
No matter what may come my way
My life is in your hands
With Jesus, I can take it
With Him, I know I can stand
No matter what may come my way
My life is in your hands
Thank God that he gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57
Pray for the comfort of those who lost their loved ones.
