The Holy Spirit!
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. John 14:26
One of the things we don’t admire today that old believers admired much was that Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a powerful force behind the whole package of life because He helps us to understand God’s plan. Humankind is a tripartite being, means we are three components living as one: we are a spirit, we have a soul, and we live in a body. The Body, Souls, and Spirit are the same thing.
So, when you make Jesus your savior, your spirit is renewed. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he/she is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” When we have a renewed spirit, we have the gateway to communicate to God as His children. Salvation is also the gateway to being baptized in the Holy Spirit; the Holy Spirit is the one whom Jesus promised that the Father would send to be our comforter, and He is also the third person in the trinity.
The Holy Spirit is the one that tells you ‘not this way, it is this way. It’s the voice you hear that is different from your thoughts and different from the enemy’s suggestions (Isaiah 30:21). The Holy Spirit helps us walk accurately and in the will of the Father (John 16:13). That cautioning you have in your heart when you’re about to do something wrong is from the Holy Spirit, so next time you feel it, take heed to do what is right.
The Holy Spirit is our advantage as a believer to know things that are yet to come (John 16:13). Therefore, always ask the Holy Spirit what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. Let Him be the guide and comforter of your life. Don’t allow the flesh’s desires to control you; instead, allow Him to lead you through the path of righteousness. Proverbs 12:28 says, “In the path of righteousness is life, and in its pathway, there is no death.”
