The Incomprehensible Light!
“And the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness comprehends it not.” John 1:5
Darkness represents the state of gloominess. It is a state that bewilders the mind. It is an order against positivity and productivity. Of course, it is attached to evil; where darkness prevails, there, evil pervades. The power of darkness will not prevail in your life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Darkness is not a new eventuality in the world; When it was in the beginning, the earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters (Genesis 1:2). God saw this in the beginning and commanded the light to shine. The understanding we must have from today’s devotion is that light is the person of our Lord Jesus Christ.
John 1:4 says, “In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.”
John testifies that Jesus is the true light. Jesus also says of Himself that He is the light of the world; Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followed me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life (John 8:12). That light shines in darkness no matter how gross the darkness seems. Jesus is that light. He shines in the darkness, and the darkness comprehends it not.
Allow the incomprehensible Light of God to shine through you. The darkness and its work still prevail and pervade one’s life as long as there is no introduction of such light. The incomprehensible light takes darkness into extinction forever. They remain great adversaries. Call out for the incomprehensible Light today into your life and home. Do away with darkness and all its manifestations. In Genesis 1:3, “And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.”
Prayer:
1. Jesus, lighten my life and my world
2. Psalm 119:130: Oh Lord, impart my understanding through your word in Jesus’ name. Amen.
