The Joy of the Lord is Your Strength!

The Joy of the Lord is Your Strength!

Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

What you do, what you say, and your response you give to things around you will determine how you appreciate the goodness of God’s presence in your life. You can choose to be joyful or anxious. It’s easy to be anxious about everything. But when we are joyful, we feel good and content with ourselves.

Before the Joy of the Lord comes, we must first know that God has already made us whole. We must be content with him. We must be thankful for his grace and mercy, even if he doesn’t always seem to work out our way. The joy of the Lord comes from within your heart of contentment and gratitude, not from grieving or feeling sad about yourself.

Nehemiah encouraged us to live a life filled with joy and to extend this joy to others. He also said, “do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” We should never lose sight of what God has done in our lives. The more you appreciate God’s goodness in your life, the more you will find strength and peace in your life. Do not allow what you do not have to steal your JOY.

Ecclesiastes 3:11-12 says, God has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men, yet they cannot fathom the work that God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for men than to rejoice and do good while they live.”

Prayer:
O Lord, I thank you because my soul rejoices with the truth of your name.
Lord Jesus, help me not to quit the pursuit of your JOY in your name.
