The Mind of Unity and Peace! 2
“Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.” Psalm 34:14
Today’s bible verse admonished us to depart from evil and seek peace. Is that not something we should aspire to do if we also expect peace all around? We must strive for peace and harmony in our lives by departing from the evil agenda that can lead others down a path of destruction. This is why I believe that peace and unity are necessary for the development and growth of humanity.
In marriage, business, and other relationships, there is always a need for peace and unity to flourish. That is why, as a Christian, we are called to pray for the peace of our nation (Psalm 122:6). In other words, pray for yourself, your marriage, your home, your community, and your country. Great power lies in unity; millions of broomsticks standing alone will be useless to a littered room, but if you gathered a few hundred together as a bunch, you could make the room clean much as possible.
Psalm 133:1 says, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!”
One shall chase a thousand, and two shall chase ten thousand, says the scripture. Every gift or knowledge we have is not to show off or to oppress the brethren; we should ensure that our gift brings edification and unity to the body of Christ. Without unity of mind, we cannot make any meaningful impact as an individual or group. Remember, we are all one; we are all connected by a common cause because a single tree cannot make a forest.
The mind of Christ is a mind that keeps the Spirit in the bond of peace. Jesus Christ makes us understand that Himself and God are one. As Christians, this mind should always be in us as it is in Christ Jesus. Always ensure you give your full support in the ministry and every other activity that promote the kingdom of God. There is strength in unity. Romans 14:19 says, “So then let us pursue what makes for peace and mutual upbuilding.”
Prayer:
1. Dear Lord, I pray that you help me find peace in you as I seek the truth of your word.
2. Pray for yourself, marriage, children, and your country.
3. Romans 15:5 May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus!
Thank you ????
