The Past is Always Tense: Let Go!
“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
Accept the reality that your past is not the end of this world, and it cannot be the end. Because you have potentials to accomplish higher things in now and in the future. Remember that for you to have the best of the next possibility, you have to let go of the past to get to the future.
Remember that God has given you a new beginning. He has given you a new life, a new purpose, a new way of living. “For at just the right time, while we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.” Romans 5:6
No grammarian will say Past Perfect Tense, but can only use the word ‘PERFECT’ in the future tense. There is no other word that matters again from the past as long as we had come into Christ, for when we came into Christ, we are made, a new creature, old things are passed away and behold all things, and I mean it in all sense, all former, old and past situations in your life are gone away. They don’t have a foothold again, and they can never get it because the life you live now is hidden in Christ Jesus.
In Ecclesiastes 7:8, Solomon said, “the end of a matter is better than the beginning, and a patient spirit is better than a proud one.” Because the beginning of life has less effect or nothing spectacular to do for your future if only it is allowed to be a past and you press forward and get a new beginning. Bill Keane said, “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.”
Life can only be correct from the past mistake, but to live, you must move forward. The past of things does not matter with whatever the new thing has to offer, which has the potential of actualizing. Why does the past of life, in general, have no significant impact; this is simply because when we came into Christ, it was declared that the step taken ushered us into a new beginning. Moreover, in that new beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
This is the message of hope for every man that has come into Christ. Arm yourself with this mind as you go out today. God bless your goings and coming. Remember, the bible says, 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!”
Prayer:
1. Thank you, Lord, for the privilege to be among the living.
2. Thank you for delivering me from my past life. In the name of Jesus, my past cannot get hold of me.
3. As from today, I refused my past to hold me down, In Jesus name. Amen.
4. Every odd covenant from my foundation, speaking against me, be broken in Jesus name.
