The Power of Your Mind!
“For as he thinks within himself, so he is. He says to you, “Eat and drink!” But his heart is not with you.” Proverbs 23:7
The mind is a unique virtual space inside us that largely determine who or what we eventually become in life. The quality of your mind can largely determine the extent of your achievement in life. We can consider the mind as a human’s seat of feelings or thoughts. It is the intelligence faculty of humankind.
The mind can think and reason. Your value in life is dependent on how you make use of your mind. This is the reason why a mad man is not recognized because he does not have a sane or realistic mind at every moment; therefore is word seems to become of no worth in society. You are a person of great value and worth, but your value is essentially dependent on how you put to use the whole of your mind.
Your mind is as essential as your spirit because you cannot be saved without your mind. Without your mind, you cannot have a succinct belief because the place of belief is not the spirit, but the mind. Your mind is the gateway to your life. Nothing gets to you without first passing through your mind. No wonder the bible says, “Keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life” Prov 4:23. This statement talks about paying absolute attention to your mind because your mind determines your ultimate worth in life.
Your personality is usually a reflection of the state of your mind; that’s why the bible says, “For as he thinks in his heart, so he is” (prov23:7a). You cannot live a healthy Christian life if your mind is not healthy. The only person that can give you a healthy mind is Jesus Christ if you surrender yourself to him so that he can renew your mind for good. Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what the will of God is, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Prayer:
1. Father Lord, I surrender myself unto you, please give me a sound mind in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. Father Lord, I want my mind to be aligned with your will and desire for my life.
