The Power of Your Mind!
“Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.” Proverbs 4:23
Did you know that your mind has the power to create your reality? You may not realize it, but the things you think about and focus on most tend to manifest in your life. This is because your mind is a powerful tool that can create anything you desire. If you want to create a life you love, you need to start thinking about it. It would be best to focus on what you want, not what you don’t want. When you focus on the positive things in your life, you will attract more positive things into your life. Psalm 119:15 says, “I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.”
Your mind is also a powerful tool for healing, breakthrough, and transformation. Using your mind can heal all kinds of problems when using your mind appropriately. However, most people choose not to use it; instead, they fill it with negative thoughts, which has become a drawback in their lives. And as Christian, we cannot live a healthy Christian life if our mind is not healthy. Because the mind is an important unique space inside us that largely determines who or what we eventually become in life.
Jeremiah 17:9-10 says, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”
Therefore, it is very significant to keep our minds healthy because an unhealthy mind will definitely not lead to an unhealthy Christian life. A healthy mind is at peace and is not filled with worry, stress, or anxiety because they remember what Philippians 4:6-7, saying, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” An unhealthy mind will not experience the peace that comes from God.
To have a healthy mind, we must take care of it. This means we need to feed it with positive and healthy thoughts and avoid negative, unhealthy thoughts. We need to fill our minds with scriptures, positive affirmations, and things we are grateful for. We also need to avoid things that will harm our minds, such as negative news, gossip, and pornography. Remember, whatever you feed your mind with becomes who you are in this life. So, get rid of the junk in your heart and feed it with Jesus. Amen. Romans 8:6 says, “For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.”
Prayer:
1. Father Lord, I surrender myself unto you; please give me a sound mind in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. Oh Lord, I ask for that peace that surpasses all understanding guarding my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, Amen.
