The righteous Gives!
“The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous are gracious and giving.” Psalm 37:21
There is an increasing zeal for power and money; people no longer work with conscience and Spirit of God. Personally, the alarming increase in evil shows me more responsibilities and work for every believer. If we are the light of the world, we are the only source of change to our world. There’s no other form of influence that can change the world than the light.
One of the simplest forms of wickedness in the world is stinginess. God blesses some people, and yet they refuse to give to others. We must understand that every of God’s blessing is not to bring glory to self; God blesses everyone so that they can be a channel of blessing to others.
And what happens when God blesses you, and you refuse to share with others, you become selfish and ungrateful. A true believer is found at the right hand of this matter; they are found faithful; they share what they have, and will never seize giving to the poor. Do not be a stingy and selfish person all because you want everything to be yours.
Be a faithful and cheerful servant so that God can be pleased with you. It doesn’t matter how little it is, if you can bless others out of it, God will not just be excited, but He will bless you more. Sometimes it requires wisdom and God’s direction to give appropriately, be ready to listen to God’s leading in this aspect. When you allow God in your finances and knowledge, He will help you manage and channel it right. Read Psalm 112:5-9
Prayer:
1. Lord, give me a heart that gives cheerfully.
2. Give me a heart that loves mercy. Give me a heart that trusts in you, o Lord.
