“I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.” John 15:11.
I know you heard it before that the joy of the Lord is your strength. The JOY of the Lord has made you strong when you are weak; He has made you rich when you are poor; He has made you see when you are blind, and He has brought you peace of mind when you are anxious. When you consider all that the Savior has done for you, does for you and will do for you, it passed all understanding and continue to be marvelous in your sight.
William Shakespeare said, “We know what we are, but do not know what we may be.” That is the fact, but in Christ, we know what we will be. I am sure that, all that the Savior has done for you, you cannot tell it all. The Savior J-O-Y has turned your mourning into dancing; He has loosed your sackcloth and clothed you with gladness. David said in the book of Psalm 40:5 “God, you have done many beautiful things, and you have planned marvelous things for us. No one is like you! I would never be able to tell all you have done.” Likewise,
A songwriter Theodore R. Frye wrote;
- He’s done so much for me, I cannot tell it all,
- He washed my sins away; I cannot tell it all,
- He walks and talks with me; I cannot tell it all,
- He gave me the victory; I cannot tell it all
The joy of the Savior has done so much to the extent that we cannot tell it all. Amid opposition, God declared himself mighty on our behalf. With all our emotional issues such as anxiety, heartache, pain, disappointment, and sorrow, the Joy of the Lord has not let us down. Yet the God of hope fills you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. The Savior JOY in you has become intercessory that no circumstances in life could overcome. The JOY of the Savior changes our sorrow; His light changed our darkness; His word liberates us from destruction; His blood redeemed us; He justified us freely forever when he was raised from the dead. God delights in you and me that is why he told us to keep his commandment so that the love of the father will remain in us.
Do not let challenges such as distress, anguish, despair, trial or tribulation in this life consumes you to the extent that you forgot all the promises, goodness and joy of the Lord in your life. Do not let the pursuit of this world steal your JOY, because it is the will of God for you to be happy. Jesus wants to see you happy and joyful. “The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom stands and listens for him, and is thrilled to hear the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete.” John 3:29
