The Power of Small Acts of Kindness!
“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed” Proverbs 19:17
When it comes to making a difference in the world, we often think we need to do something big and grandiose. However, that’s not always the case. Small acts of kindness can have a ripple effect that is just as impactful, if not more so. One act of kindness can lead to another; before you know it, there’s a chain reaction of good deeds. Something as simple as smiling at a stranger or holding the door open for someone can make their day – and in turn, they may be more likely to act kindly for someone else.
I can relate to a bad time in my life, the consequences of which I was emotionally impacted by a young boy’s act of kindness. My business wasn’t going well, and I ran out of cash. The funniest thing is that nobody wants to help, despite being open about the situation around me. One day, I was walking around the house, trying to figure out what to do to support the business, when a young boy from my neighbor approached me. He took out his piggy bank and emptied it into my hand, and said you would need it. It wasn’t much, but it was enough to get me a bus ticket to where I would look for a job.
Proverbs 11:17 says, “A kind man benefits himself, but a cruel man hurts himself.”
The young boy’s act of kindness touched my heart. It connected my heart to continue showing him favor anytime, and I also decided to pay it forward. His selflessness is something that I will always remember and cherish. Small acts like this can make such a big difference in the world. Even though he didn’t know that his act of kindness would make such an impact on me, but it did. It reminded me of the importance of being kind and helping others, no matter how big or small the gesture may be.
However, I’m so grateful to have experienced such a heartwarming act, and it’s something I’ll never forget. The young boy’s kindness has left a lasting impression on me and spread the love to others as well. It was a kind and selfless act that made me smile and remember that even the smallest gestures can make a big difference. So next time you feel inspired to do something good, don’t hesitate to go ahead and spread some happiness. Amen. Proverbs 21:21 says, “Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor” Amen.

Galatians 5:22; Holy Spirit, help me to live a life that shows the fruit of the Spirit to others, such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness amidst these challenging times in Jesus’ name. Amen.
