The Vital Nourishment: Hungry Man with a Joyful Heart.
“Your words were found, and I did eat them; and your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by your name, O LORD God of hosts.” (Jer 15:16).
Prophet Jeremiah has difficulty in the fifty years of his service to God. They mocked him, hunted for him, he was beaten by a priest and thrown into a muddy cistern in which he was supposed to die. In one hour of deep discouragement, he complained to God of his suffering. But with a joyful heart, he remembered that God had always comforted him, and said: “Your word became food for me whenever I received it, and your word is in my heart joy and comfort.” (Jer 15:16). The Word of God has set him up and strengthened him. It opened to him what God intended to do with his people and how important his job was to admonish.
Likewise, the word of God can set you up for a breakthrough, for miracle, prosperity, and greatness in this world. However, you have to find the word, believe it, and let it become vital nourishment in your soul so that the devil the devourer will not deceive you from God’s way of fulfilling your destiny. The devil plan is to destroy God’s plan of salvation; Satan struggled to make the sinless a sinner. That devil is a liar, do not let him deceive you anymore. Dean Koontz said, “if you are at a party with a hundred people, and one of them is the devil, he will be the last one you would suspect.” Therefore, you must read the word of God, pray, and watch.
He had the insight into the nature of Jesus and knew he would become the savior. He tempted him with turning stone to food, but Jesus overcame with the word. I promised, you too can overcome every barrier by the word of God, if you find it as nourishment to your soul and believed. Jesus was hungry – he was not exhausted. Talking to his father had given him courage and confidence. The Bible says, “when the tempter came to him, he said, If you are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:2-4.
Prayer:
1. Thank God for daily provision and preservation now in Jesus name.
2. In the name of Jesus Christ, I arrest and bind any force that is frustrating the promises of God in my life .
3. I shall not die, my family shall not die, but live, enjoy and keep declaring Your goodness in Jesus name.
